this design does not take into account comics, I use rss feeds to watch for comic updates.

The content shown here is a mere placeholder text, it could be replaced by everything from a picture to an ad, to a video...

One important thing is to remove the "back" button from the hidden menu, just to avoid a poor user experience. IMO, we can swipe left to go back to feeds view (RSS_reader_step2.1).

The hidden back button is starting to become a serious problem. I would like to know what are the official design guidelines regarding the back action.

this said, i would like to use the swipe gesture (left/right) to let users "flip pages": an RTL swipe loads the next article while an LTR one loads the previous article.

I think swipe is a official guideline, although I could not find any mention to this. By the way, Canonical recommended to not bloat the interface with many buttons, actions or scroll bars... The videos shown a great use for swipe and I'm trying to use this as a main feature for apps.

As the other have said, we have to find a way to solve the problem raised with the back button. Having to reveal the hide menu to going back seems to be a bad user experience. I'm for swipe action to go back and forth. What do you think guy?

judging from the demo videos, the RTL from-the-edge swipe is meant to be something more like an "ALT+TAB" action than a "back button" action, since it takes the user from the current app to the last used one. Am I getting it right?

using an in-app RTL swipe in place of the back button is too dangerous, IMO, for the usual reasons: gestures have low discoverability and high fail rates. any ideas?
