It would be nice if the memory items could be used in formulas, like blocks in the calculation. A kind of spreadsheet calc on one line.
If this was a goal, then you'd have to symbolise the memory items and have a means to pick them up and drop them into your current formula. Each block would simply equate to a value, but the power would be in when you change a block.

long pressing input field should bring up the saved formulas in a drop down panel .

I think bottom swype menu must have 'history' and 'memory' buttons
